Katherine Orzechowski: Behind the Lens

As a young child I was always interested in art. As the years passed by my artist nature never changed, but I narrowed my focus to Photography and Graphic Design. The reason I was drawn to photography is for two reasons. The first reason is because I was always told I had a natural talent for capturing things at interesting angles. The second is because when I look through the camera lens the world doesn't seem as big, instead it feels managable to a stressed teenager. Starting High School I knew I wanted to continue pursuing photography. During my Sophmore year I took Digital Imaging and Photography 1. After that I knew I had found my section of the massive High School, or better known as the art wing.

Unlike last year when my camera limited me to taking pictures at my house, I tried to expand an take pictures elsewhere. This worked some nights but others it didn't. This year I also tried to focus on taking pictures of things I hadn't really done in the past. However, this really didn't happen because when I got busy I just went back to what I knew. The problem I had this year with my pictures was that I got so busy I wouldn't have time to focus and take them so they turned out good or my film would constantly be late. This resulted in again more blurry photos but overall I like how most of them turned out.
